| Apache Trail Jeep Tour, Sunday Feb. 23, 2020 (after a solid day of rain on Saturday!): Leigh and I took our friends Steve and Jo Hackett (hackettsongs.com) to Tortilla Flats via Goldfield Ghost Town thanks to Billy Ristuccia (PrivateJeep.com) up to the then-washed out bridge), then doubled back and drove around to Roosevelt Lake via the Superstition Mtns, continued past the Dam onto the washed out dirt roads to the upper portion of Apache Lake (until the road ceased to exist), and returned after a full day via the Beeline (Rte 87). Fantastic Views, even if at-times mud-splashed (!) windows, with exquisite cross-lighting between squalls. |
